K9 CORNER WITH THE CHIEF
When you are with your K9 on or off leash it is important to engage them. This will provide them positive stimulation, direction and expectation.

It is not the amount of time elapsed or steps you take with your K9 that is important. It is the quality time spent with them. Five minutes of quality time is more valuable than a 50-minute walk without engagement.
When you invest with these priorities daily this will elevate your pack bond. For example, your K9 will love “hide and seek”, either with toys or food. They have an amazing scent ability.

For K9’s that have a high prey drive, a game of tug or fetch will stimulate highly.

When you engage your K9 you will trigger their endorphins in their brain which elevates their body language. When you continue to engage your K9 it will lead them to a dopamine state.

This is like a euphoric state of mind, and they will be extremely engaged and happy.
Remember to take this important time with your K9, it will pay off!!!

EVERY DAY IS A TRAINING DAY.
Welcome to Doggie Dialogue
To help you effectively manage pet hair in your home, we recommend focusing on regular grooming and brushing of your K9, vacuuming often, and frequently laundering your K9’s bedding. This will significantly minimize shedding and fur accumulation.

It is also recommended to be strategic with fabrics for your furniture and surfaces. Furniture made of leather, tightly woven materials or microfiber are less prone to attracting and holding pet hair.

When your K9 has regular brushing, you will notice your K9 won’t shed as often, therefore the pet hair will not shed onto the furniture and floors.

Damp mopping hard surfaces and using damp sponges or rubbers gloves to remove hair from the upholstery can be effective.
Air purifiers with HEPA filters can capture pet hair and dander from circulation in the air, which is highly effective.

Some clients will limit their K9 access to certain areas of the house, like the bedrooms to help minimize pet hair in these spaces.
Ensure your K9 is not shedding due to allergies, parasites, or medical issues. Consult your vet for unusual hair loss.
