We begin this week featuring a beautiful 4-year-old Pot cake (mixed breed) named Doug.
Doug is adored by his human family. Doug takes a little time to warm up when meeting new people due to his shy demeanour but when he gets comfortable, he is an absolute delight!!!

Doug is smart, curious and gets along with almost every other kind of dog. He loves the dog park, long walks, cuddles and has a hearty appetite.

His forever family feels fortunate that he is now a permanent member of their pack!!!

To help you save money on your medical care for all your pets, we recommend focusing on preventive care. When you consider preventive measures like vaccinations, healthy diet and parasite control this can prevent costly illnesses.
We also recommend practicing good at-home care such as brushing your pets coat and brushing their teeth. Good dental care will help prevent gum disease and dental issues.

Diet is a big one for maintaining good health in your pets. Avoid over-feeding your pet as this can lead to diabetes and arthritis, which both can be costly conditions to treat. To save money on pet food consider buying bulk.

When spaying or neutering, call around to different vet clinics to compare prices and find an affordable option. Inquire about payment plans or financing options at your vet’s office to help manage the cost of routine care.
Some clients have an insurance policy in place to help cover costs for emergencies or unexpected illness. Other clients have a small pet bank account for unexpected costs.

We recommend check your pets ears every week and keep them clean, as ear infections can become costly for on-going treatments.

Remember to keep all your pets vaccines up-to-date and do an annual check-up, this will save you money in the long run.
